Funding
Hillcrest Transitional Housing is a faith ministry dependent upon the support and gifts of others to sustain its services. Hillcrest does not receive funds from any government entity that would compromise its ability to deliver service effectively. Hillcrest relies heavily upon the private sector for its support. In this way, the organization maintains autonomy in the operation of its housing program.
The primary funding source has been and continues to be individuals within the served community, accounting for approximately 40% of the gifts Hillcrest receives. Additionally, numerous local churches include Hillcrest in their annual budgets while others give periodic contributions. Hillcrest receives significant financial gifts from Hallmark Cards, The Nearly New Shop, Liberty Savings Bank, and Commerce Bank. Other funding sources include local businesses, civic organizations, & private foundations.
