Assistance
In order to be eligible to be accepted into the Hillcrest program, a family must:
- Be homeless
- Have a minimum of resources
- Agree to work full-time (40 hours per week)
- Accept the responsibility to secure transportation for work
- Show motivation to change their situation
Eligible families are referred to Hillcrest through churches, individuals, and other human service organizations. Those who are interested should complete a written application in person, by appointment at their local Hillcrest affiliate, or on-line.
When space becomes available, the family participates in a personal interview with the case manager, resident manager, and a volunteer.
A resident family must be willing to commit to the Hillcrest program for the 90-day period.
More information is available on our Residency FAQs page.
